Christmas like any other holiday is as meaningful and enjoyable as the people you celebrate it with. And for most of us, Christmas is time with family and extended relatives. The Hsiao Christmas annual gathering is a long tradition, started by my wife’s grandparents many years ago. To be specific, it’s my wife’s mother’s parents. Even though they’ve gone on to be with the LORD, their legacy lives on. They preached and practiced “home sweet home” when they were alive. That tradition is carried on among their grandkids and great-grandkids. We were 39 strong this year. What a rich tradition our kids are inheriting! Highlights of the celebration include seeing some of their cousins, getting red envelops, and meeting the newest cousin. My prayer is our kids will learn to appreciate and hopefully carry-on the tradition.
