Chinese Yo-Yo

Last year the kids saw a magician perform with a Chinese yo-yo (or diabolo), and since then, they’ve been asking for one. Their grandparents live in Asia and visit the States often, and recently, their grandpa brought back three diabolos – one for each of the kids. Yesterday they got their first crack at playing with them. Like any new toys, it takes some practice and experience to get the full enjoyment if it. Getting the diabolos to start spinning is the first challenge, and after an hour, they were minimally successful. We’ll see how long their interests last and how far they can go with their new toy.

Here’s a video of what you can do with a diabolo: Diabolo Tricks
