Semi-Christmas Tradition

Candle Cane Lane in Torrance

As a family, we don’t really practice any Christmas traditions, but there are things we do regularly year to year.  One of those things is spending Christmas in LA.  While in LA, we meet up with family and friends, eat lots of good food, and go to see Christmas lights in a nearby neighborhood.  Timothy and Theo are usually enthralled by the lights and music of the many displays, ranging from simple manger scenes to elaborate ferris wheels with Christmas characters.  As adults, it’s hard to maintain that sense of magic and excitement that surrounds the Christmas season, but seeing our kids fully immerse themselves is a good reminder of the simplicity and significance of Christmas.
